This dual exhaust system is made for 1971 Corvettes with the 454 engine. It includes 2-1/2" front and rear pipes and OEM-style mufflers with 2" outlets. Available in stainless or aluminized steel.

Restore the power, sound, and original appearance of your big block C3 with this 1971 C3 Corvette 454 Engine Dual Exhaust System. Designed to fit 1971 Corvettes equipped with the 454 engine, this system is built to OEM specifications, providing the correct factory-style layout, tone, and performance your classic deserves.
Each system is handcrafted using quality materials and factory-style compression bends. Whether you're working on a faithful restoration or just want reliable performance, this exhaust system delivers long-lasting durability and the bold tone expected from a 454-powered Corvette.
Standard Kit Includes:- Left & Right Front Exhaust Pipes – 2-1/2 inch diameter
- Left & Right Rear Exhaust Pipes – 2-1/2 inch diameter
- Mufflers – 2-1/2 inch inlet / 2 inch outlet (OEM-style tone)
Note: Stainless steel systems require approximately 4–6 weeks to fabricate.
Available Options:- Turbo Mufflers – For a deeper, more aggressive tone
- Universal Clamp & Hanger Kit – Mild steel construction

Material and Build DetailsAll tubing is compression bent—not mandrel bent—to closely replicate the original GM design. These systems are tailored for local car show quality and enthusiast-level restorations.
Aluminized Steel:- Tubing: 14–16 gauge
- Mufflers: 18 gauge
- Tubing: 304 stainless steel, 14 gauge
- Mufflers: 409 stainless steel, 18 gauge
Some minor surface imperfections are normal due to the fabrication process.
OEM Fitment Only – Important Notes:- This system is designed for use with OEM exhaust manifolds
- If using aftermarket headers or oversized piping, the front pipes must be cut and modified
- In such cases, the system is sold as-is and is not covered by warranty
Professional installation is strongly recommended to ensure a proper fit.
Return & Warranty PolicyDue to rising material and labor costs, refunds are not offered. However, we stand behind the quality of our work and will provide complimentary re-bending for any system that was incorrectly fabricated—provided:
- You are using OEM manifolds
- Accurate vehicle information was submitted at checkout
- Request must be submitted within 14 days of delivery
- Product must be unused, unmodified, and in original packaging
- Returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee
- Customers are responsible for issues caused by inaccurate or incomplete vehicle information

Shipping
We utilize UPS, Fedex, and USPS for all of our shipping needs. Carrier choice is based upon availability and needs of the customer and is the sole discretion of SouthernCarParts. We always try to ship within 24 hours of order placement (do to the custom nature of some products, shipping within 24 hours is impossible, actual shipping time frames will be listed in the product description). Please keep in mind that some products such as Custom Fit Car Covers, Lloyds Floor Mats, Painted accessories, and Racemesh Products can take 3 -10 days to ship and are charged at time of order placement. Racemesh products take 4 weeks to ship as they are made to order.
Returns
Should you need to return a part for refund, exchange, or credit, please contact our returns department within 30 days of purchase at orders@southerncarparts.com for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Most problems, such as installation, can be solved with a telephone call (888-631-1433). Southern Car Parts will not accept returned goods without prior authorization and an RMA# written clearly on the exterior of the box. The customer is responsible for freight on all return orders. Parts authorized to be returned, on a non-exchange basis, are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Returns will only be accepted within 30 days of the original date of shipment. Custom painted parts - Once these parts are started, we can refund you less the paint(chemicals) that have been used. Exception is rear spoilers and front splitters, we can refund less 20%.
Custom-made-to-order items are NOT returnable. This includes embroidered floor mats, interior embroidered items, and car covers.
Damages in Shipping
All damages from shipping must be reported to Southern Car Parts within two business days from tracking number delivery confirmation. After two business days, damages become the responsibility of the customer.
