This dual exhaust system is made for 1972 Corvettes with the 350 (L82) SHP engine. It includes front and rear pipes and OEM-style mufflers. Built to factory specs and available in stainless steel or aluminized steel.

Bring your classic Corvette's sound and performance back to life with this 1972 C3 Corvette 350 (Special High Performance) Engine Dual Exhaust System. Specifically built for L82-equipped C3 Corvettes, this system delivers the deep tone, factory-correct routing, and performance your small block was meant to have.
Crafted to OEM specifications and available in stainless steel or aluminized steel, this system is ideal for restoration projects, weekend cruisers, or drivers who want a true-to-original setup with modern build quality.
Standard Kit Includes:- Left & Right Front Exhaust Pipes
- Front section: 2 inch diameter
- Rear section: 2-1/4 inch diameter
- Left & Right Rear Exhaust Pipes – 2-1/2 inch diameter
- Mufflers – 2-1/2 inch inlet / 2 inch outlet (OEM-style tone)
Note: Stainless steel systems take approximately 4–6 weeks to fabricate. All tubing is compression bent to follow original GM routing.
Available Options:- Turbo Mufflers – For a deeper, throatier tone
- Universal Clamp & Hanger Kit – Mild steel
Every system is hand-built and reflects the same layout used on the factory production line in 1972. These systems are designed for weekend drivers and enthusiast restorations, offering an OEM-style fit and sound.
Aluminized Steel:- Tubing: 14–16 gauge
- Mufflers: 18 gauge
- Tubing: 304 stainless steel, 14 gauge
- Mufflers: 409 stainless steel, 18 gauge
Minor cosmetic imperfections may be present due to the custom fabrication process. These systems are not intended for high-end show vehicles requiring concours-level detailing or date-coded parts.
OEM Fitment Only – Please Note:- This system is designed for use with OEM exhaust manifolds.
- If using headers or oversized piping, you will need to cut and modify the front pipes.
- In these cases, the system is sold as-is and not covered under warranty.
Professional installation is recommended, as minor adjustments may be needed for proper fit.
Return & Warranty Policy:We stand behind our product and craftsmanship, but due to rising costs of labor and materials, we do not offer refunds. We will provide complimentary re-bending of any incorrectly fabricated components, provided:
- You are using OEM manifolds
- Accurate vehicle info was submitted at the time of order
- Request must be made within 14 days of delivery
- Item must be unused, unaltered, and in original packaging
- Returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee
- Customers are responsible for issues caused by incorrect or incomplete order info

Shipping
We utilize UPS, Fedex, and USPS for all of our shipping needs. Carrier choice is based upon availability and needs of the customer and is the sole discretion of SouthernCarParts. We always try to ship within 24 hours of order placement (do to the custom nature of some products, shipping within 24 hours is impossible, actual shipping time frames will be listed in the product description). Please keep in mind that some products such as Custom Fit Car Covers, Lloyds Floor Mats, Painted accessories, and Racemesh Products can take 3 -10 days to ship and are charged at time of order placement. Racemesh products take 4 weeks to ship as they are made to order.
Returns
Should you need to return a part for refund, exchange, or credit, please contact our returns department within 30 days of purchase at orders@southerncarparts.com for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Most problems, such as installation, can be solved with a telephone call (888-631-1433). Southern Car Parts will not accept returned goods without prior authorization and an RMA# written clearly on the exterior of the box. The customer is responsible for freight on all return orders. Parts authorized to be returned, on a non-exchange basis, are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Returns will only be accepted within 30 days of the original date of shipment. Custom painted parts - Once these parts are started, we can refund you less the paint(chemicals) that have been used. Exception is rear spoilers and front splitters, we can refund less 20%.
Custom-made-to-order items are NOT returnable. This includes embroidered floor mats, interior embroidered items, and car covers.
Damages in Shipping
All damages from shipping must be reported to Southern Car Parts within two business days from tracking number delivery confirmation. After two business days, damages become the responsibility of the customer.
