This dual exhaust system is made for 1972 Corvettes with the 454 big block engine. It includes front and rear 2-1/2" pipes and OEM-style mufflers with 2" outlets. Built to factory specs and available in stainless steel or aluminized steel.

Bring back the bold sound and performance of your big block with this 1972 C3 Corvette 454 Engine Dual Exhaust System. Designed specifically for 1972 C3 Corvettes equipped with the factory 454 engine, this system is built to OEM specifications, ensuring a proper fit, authentic tone, and long-lasting durability.
Fabricated using premium aluminized or stainless steel, this dual exhaust system delivers the perfect blend of classic style and modern reliability—ideal for restorations, weekend cruisers, and enthusiast builds.
Standard Kit Includes:- Left & Right Front Exhaust Pipes – 2-1/2 inch diameter
- Left & Right Rear Exhaust Pipes – 2-1/2 inch diameter
- Mufflers – 2-1/2 inch inlet / 2 inch outlet (OEM-style)
Note: Stainless steel systems require approximately 4–6 weeks to fabricate.
All pipes are compression bent for a true factory-style look and fit.
Optional Upgrades:- Turbo Mufflers – Offers a deeper, more aggressive muscle car tone
- Universal Clamp & Hanger Kit – Mild steel construction
Each system is hand-built to match the original layout used by GM in 1972, using a compression bending process that mimics factory designs. These exhausts are designed for local show quality and enthusiast-level use—not concours show cars requiring date-coded parts.
Aluminized Steel:- Tubing: 14–16 gauge
- Mufflers: 18 gauge
- Tubing: 304 stainless steel, 14 gauge
- Mufflers: 409 stainless steel, 18 gauge
Minor imperfections may be present due to the manual fabrication process.
OEM Fitment Only – Important Notes:- System is designed for use with OEM exhaust manifolds only
- If you’re using headers or oversized piping, front pipes must be modified
- In such cases, the system is sold as-is and is not covered under warranty
Professional installation is highly recommended for best fit and performance.
Return & Warranty Policy:Due to increased material and labor costs, refunds are not offered. However, we provide complimentary re-bending if any part of the system is incorrectly fabricated based on accurate vehicle and manifold info.
Return Eligibility (Only if the full system is incorrect):- Must be requested within 14 days of delivery
- Product must be unused, unmodified, and in original packaging
- Returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee
- Customer is responsible for errors due to inaccurate information at checkout

Shipping
We utilize UPS, Fedex, and USPS for all of our shipping needs. Carrier choice is based upon availability and needs of the customer and is the sole discretion of SouthernCarParts. We always try to ship within 24 hours of order placement (do to the custom nature of some products, shipping within 24 hours is impossible, actual shipping time frames will be listed in the product description). Please keep in mind that some products such as Custom Fit Car Covers, Lloyds Floor Mats, Painted accessories, and Racemesh Products can take 3 -10 days to ship and are charged at time of order placement. Racemesh products take 4 weeks to ship as they are made to order.
Returns
Should you need to return a part for refund, exchange, or credit, please contact our returns department within 30 days of purchase at orders@southerncarparts.com for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Most problems, such as installation, can be solved with a telephone call (888-631-1433). Southern Car Parts will not accept returned goods without prior authorization and an RMA# written clearly on the exterior of the box. The customer is responsible for freight on all return orders. Parts authorized to be returned, on a non-exchange basis, are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Returns will only be accepted within 30 days of the original date of shipment. Custom painted parts - Once these parts are started, we can refund you less the paint(chemicals) that have been used. Exception is rear spoilers and front splitters, we can refund less 20%.
Custom-made-to-order items are NOT returnable. This includes embroidered floor mats, interior embroidered items, and car covers.
Damages in Shipping
All damages from shipping must be reported to Southern Car Parts within two business days from tracking number delivery confirmation. After two business days, damages become the responsibility of the customer.
